The greater Miramichi region from Blackville to Tabusintac; Nelson to Miramichi Bay; and all points in between is in dire need of supply teachers. ASD-N Acting Director of Schools, Mr. Rodney Buggie, has reached out to MARTA, hoping some of its members will be willing to lend their many talents and wisdom and step up to assist. Personal options and preferences as to which schools, grade levels, subject areas, etc. will be honoured.

Perhaps you can only spare a day per week, or you would be willing to assist as you can in the school from which you retired, or possibly at a particular school close to where you reside in your community. The option to teach across the district in all schools and have your name available daily is also possible, should that be your preference. Whatever time you would be willing to provide would be met with tremendous gratitude by school administrators, teachers, and students.

The supply teacher shortage of the current school year in ASD-N is critical.
