The planned, Spring NBSRT Executive Election will be held, between April 1st and 10th, but voting procedures for the members of all branches have been amended, in accordance with the NB Government’s Emergency Measures, which have been implemented indefinitely, due to COVID-19. The new voting process for branch members will be as follows:
ONLINE VOTING:
- Any member with an active e-mail account will receive an e-mail invitation to vote. Clicking on the link in the e-mail invitation begins the online voting process. The few, guided steps provided are easy to follow, and the entire process may be completed in less than two minutes!
- Members voting by online procedures are advised to do so well in advance of the voting deadline of April 10th, so that should any difficulties occur, assistance may be sought from the Elections Returning Officer at elections.nbsrt@marta-group.com
- This process is completely anonymous.
WRITE-IN BALLOTS:
- Members without an e-mail account will be contacted by the MARTA Communications Team and provided with the necessary information so that they may request a write-in ballot, should they wish to do so.
- Members who wish to receive a write-in ballot will be advised to send a stamped, self-addressed envelope to the Returning Officer. In order to ensure that write-in ballots can be completed and sent to the Returning Officer by the deadline of April 14th, members should mail their request for a ballot by April 1st.
- Members may request a Write-In Ballot at the following postal address: NBSRT Returning Officer, 04-840 King George Highway, Miramichi, NB, E1V 1P8
