During a number of recent years, the MARTA Executive has received kindly donated, older paper documents (some of which are handwritten) photos and other items worthy of retention in honour of MARTA’s history, since its inception in the mid 1970s. The branch soon will have been in existence for a half-century!
If you, or anyone you know, has such items and wishes to donate them to the MARTA Branch, please contact Andy C. or Marjorie Sinclair. On occasion, items have been received from either members who have been sorting and downsizing thier life’s collections of meaningful memorabilia, or form estate contents of deceased former members of MARTA.
The overall objective is to have a complete timeline of pertinent, historical items, to be properly sorted, catalogued and stored safely at the NB Archives, for long-term, future reference. Any such materials found would be worthy of consideration, rather than being discarded, as the wonderful history and unique dynamics of MARTA are certainly well deserved of meaningful retention.
